A hand-built home on Milton Point. West-facing dock palapa, outdoor kitchen, and the kind of sunsets that end every day on the island. Sleeps 10. The trip you'd plan yourself.

Dakota Breeze is a beachfront home on Roatán's east end — designed and furnished by its owner, not an investment portfolio with default everything. Hand-painted murals by Roatán artist Alvin Welcome. Hand-selected stone — quartzite in the kitchen, marble in the Jack-and-Jill, black slate underfoot. A dining table built from a single Balinese teak root, and an outdoor table built on Roatán by woodworker TuTu from Honduran mainland hardwood.
Three bedrooms, a bunk loft, sleeps ten. Sherri and Deysi handle hosting on the island — we leave the kayaks ready, the snorkel gear sized, and the airport pickup arranged.
West-facing, fifty feet over clear water. The signature moment of the property — and the reason most repeat guests come back. Cocktail in hand, fish below the boards, sun ending another day on Roatán.
Milton Point is the quiet side of the island — beach mostly to yourselves, walking distance to local food at Sandra's and Tequila Jack's, fifteen minutes to French Harbor for groceries. The opposite of the West Bay party scene. Honest tradeoff: it's quieter at night.
Hand-painted artwork, hand-carved cabinetry, hand-selected materials throughout. Sherri and Deysi run on-island operations from down the road — not from a property management call center. Off-grid solar means we kept power through last winter's storms when neighbors didn't.

WHAT GUESTS HAVE SAID
"It's right on the beach and has access to a great Palapa where we would enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset each night... This is truly an 11 on a scale of 10."
— Shawn S., Group, February 2025
"Dakota Breeze maintained power because of solar banks, while other houses in area went without for a few days... The property management, drivers and the personal chef were so friendly and accommodating."
— Katie D., Group, January 2026
"From the towels to the bedding, the home is filled with luxury... The ocean pier is a wonderful feature. We loved sitting there, watching the fish swim, the boats go by and the most amazing sunsets over the ocean."
— Lori N., Mature Couple, January 2025
The Great Room opens to the beach through full-width sliding glass — vaulted ceiling, the teak-root dining table at center, the kitchen looking straight at the water. Outside, a covered outdoor kitchen with grill, wet bar, and a long dining table built for ten. Down the path, the dock palapa, two kayaks ready on the sand, snorkel gear in the dock chest.
Three bedrooms downstairs: the Ocean Room with a king and a marble bath, the Garden Room with a king, and the Captain's Quarters with two twins and the kind of details kids notice. Up the open stair, a bunk loft with four twin beds — perfect for kids, friends, or filling out a girls-trip group of ten.
A shared community pool sits at the back of the property — useful for families with little kids. The actual draws are the beach, the dock, and the outdoor living..

Same home, fewer middlemen.
Airbnb and VRBO add roughly 14% in service fees on top of the nightly rate. Booking direct removes the platform markup. Same dates, same home, less out the door.
Questions, special requests, dive shop recommendations, a flight that gets in late — message us directly. No platform support queue, no scripted replies.
We arrange airport pickup, a grocery stop on the way to the house, and a walkthrough on arrival. Standard for direct bookings, not for platforms.
Secure payment processing, a written rental agreement, and the same cancellation policy you'd expect from a platform. Just no middleman if something needs sorting.
The home sleeps ten and configures for several different trips.
Two king bedrooms, the Captain's Quarters for an extra pair, ignore the loft. Dock palapa, outdoor kitchen, and beach are the real draws.
Fill the bunk loft with friends, two kings for the early-to-bed crew. Walking distance to local food, sunset photos that don't need a filter.
Take the two king rooms, leave the rest of the house quiet. Outdoor kitchen for shared dinners, dock palapa for the sunset cocktail.
All four sleeping spaces in use — kids in the bunk loft, parents in the kings, grandparents in the suite. Themed rooms delight ages 4–14.
